Where is Maria Isabel located?

We are located at 500 Presidio Ave in San Francisco’s Presidio Heights neighborhood.

How do I book a reservation with Maria Isabel?

Reservations are available via OpenTable or our website. We release reservations 30 days in advance on a rolling basis. OpenTable reflects our most current availability. If you're not seeing availability then we are fully booked. For changes to your current reservation or a late arrival please leave us a text message.

 What are your operation hours?

We are open Tuesday through Saturday for dinner from 5pm to 9:30pm.

Do you accept walk-ins?

We welcome walk-ins on a first come first served basis at our counter for full-service dinner or at our limited standing bar for drinks.

Do you have a kids menu?

We strive to provide a cozy, intimate atmosphere for all our guests. Due to our limited space and the nature of our seating, we are unable to accommodate strollers or provide high chairs, booster seats, and children's menus. How do I book a large group at Maria Isabel? Do you offer private dining or buyouts?

For groups of 8+ and private dining, full restaurant buyout, we encourage you to fill out this form: https://www.mariaisabelsf.com/private-events/ for a more prompt and thorough response. 

 Do you have a reservation and credit card policy?

Yes, we put a hold on your credit card to confirm your reservation.  No shows or cancellations less than 1 day in advance will be subject to a charge of $25 per person. Reservation can be modified or canceled prior to 24 hours from your reservation time. 

 How does Maria Isabel’s waitlist work?

 We highly recommend setting an alert on OpenTable for future reservations. We receive your request and check the waitlist 24-48 hours in advance and will reach you by sending a text message or calling you to confirm your reservation.

What is the corkage policy?

Corkage is $40 per 750mL bottle, for the first bottle. Corkage will be waived with the purchase of a bottle from our list. A second bottle thereafter will be $60, and will not be waived. Fee for a magnum (1500mL) is $100. 

 Do you have outdoor seating?

Indoor dining is currently available. We do not offer outdoor dining at this time.

Do you offer take-out?

We currently do not offer a full on take out menu but build custom menus for any occasion for pick up catering.

 Do you have a dress code?

Smart casual. Come dressed in the fashion that is most comfortable to you!

 I have an allergy/dietary restrictions. Can I dine at Maria Isabel?

We hope to ensure your dining experience is exceptional, which is why we kindly ask you to inform us of any allergies or dietary restrictions in advance of your reservation. This allows our kitchen and service team to prepare and guide you appropriately. We will always do our best to accommodate wherever possible.

At this time, please note that our tasting menu is not able to accommodate allium allergies, nightshade allergies, or vegan diets, as these ingredients are foundational to the structure and intent of the menu. We want to be transparent so you can make the best decision for your visit.

What is included in the chefs’ menu?

We offer a $90 per person chef curated progression of 6 courses celebrating contemporary Mexican Coastal flavors, pristine California seafood, and our house ground moles, all guided by the best ingredients of the season.

We require full table participation.

  Is there parking available?

We’re in a residential area where parking can be limited. There is street parking available on California Street and Presidio Avenue, but we suggest arriving early as it is very limited. We recommend planning to use alternative methods of transportation such as ride share services.

 Is Maria Isabel Wheelchair accessible?

We are wheelchair accessible and have a ADA seating.

What are your Holiday hours in 2026?

We are closed on Thanksgiving day as well as December 25th. We are open and are serving a special ticketed dinner on December 30-31. We are closed once again on January 1.
